Currently, the initial obligations under the environmental protection law occur as early as at the design stage and include, but are not limited to, preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment. It must be noted that, according to the environmental protection law it is the land owner that is held primarily responsible for the removal of contamination from the investment site. Until recently only the most prudent and risk-conscious investors ordered the environmental investigations with specialized companies before purchasing the land, such tests comprising the analysis of the current condition of the environment but also any potential interactions between the land and the surrounding area.
Currently, according to the Regulation of the Ministry of the Environment of September 2016 on the method for assessment of land surface contamination anyone who plans to purchase a land lot should carry out the tests of that kind on the said lot. It is the only method to secure the interest of the buyer. Quite frequently the re-mediation proves to be very expensive and, without the results of tests carried out according to the above mentioned Regulation, it is difficult to prove that it is the previous land owner who is responsible for the land contamination.
For the needs of the design and the building permit we carry out investigations to determine the conditions for the construction of buildings such as residential buildings, warehouses or production buildings.
Additionally, we carry out investigations to determine soil and ground water conditions including contamination analysis. We perform the drilling operations, including soil sampling, according to the Regulation of the Ministry of the Environment of 1 September 2016 on the method for assessment of land surface contamination (Journal of Laws 2016 No. 1395).
